While at Fall Council with the STF, my goal was to interview as many people as possible and to create a video montage. I had only one interview question: What does a classroom look like in 2017? The date was significant to me in that it is a mere 10 years away.
This video highlights many of my thoughts regarding this precarious point in human history. I worry that our current practice does not fully prepare students for their future roles as adults. I was dumbfounded by people’s level of discomfort regarding my question. The answer to me is obvious. We don’t know and we really have no way of predicting things regardless of how near they may be in the future.
It’s getting tiresome but I am constantly lost in the question: Are we really creating life-long learners?
